1985 Hatteras 45C Sportfish

Asking $209,000

This is a well-maintained example of the very popular Series II Hatteras 45 Convertable. In addition to being, in the opinion of many, one of the best offshore fishing hulls ever produced in this size range, she is also a great dive or cruising vessel.

She has been in the same ownership for the last five years, and during that time has received much attention in the way of improvements and upgrades. You will not find "spaghetti wiring" on this vessel, nor all sorts of other "surprises" common with older vessels. Technology improvements, such as "Floscan" fuel monitoring, have been added and greatly enhance her value, as well as your ability to manage and enjoy the vessel.

If you're in the market for a midsize Sporfishing Yacht you owe it to yourself to have a look - she's truly one of a kind in many respects and represents an excellent value in the marketplace. She received no damage from the recent hurricane activity on the Gulf Coast (due care and diligence was taken, and a little luck intervened as well!)

The helm console. Note the tachometer replacement with Floscan meters. The unlabelled switch to the right below the gears is the selector for gallons-per-hour or miles-per-gallon (the Floscan system is interfaced to the GPS/Plotter in the instrument console above) Resets for the totalizer are inside the helm locker, conveniently located yet impossible to accidentally press.

From the forward flybridge looking at the foredeck. Note the Delta44 on the bow roller and deck crane and chocks for your dingy, if you have one....

The left side of the overhead electronics box. Radar (RL70, 4kw dome mounted above) and Garmin 2006 plotter. Custom panels so all electronics are flush-mounted.

The right side of the overhead. Here we find the Furuno FCV667 depth sounder, Kenwood audio system for the bridge (CD/MP3), Simrad/Robertson AP200 autopilot and the Standard Spectrum DSC VHF/Hailer (interfaced, MMSI is issued and valid.)

View of the salon looking aft from the galley. Note the wet bar and icemaker below it. To port is an "end table" with the salon AC vent, and the settee (builtin, with storage below.)

Salon from the door looking forward. Note the Settee, electronics cabinet (television and DVD player located inside, along with storage for charts and other sundries), generator panel and HVAC control visible on the lower left, and settee on the right. Also note the small black projection in the center of the frame just to the left of the Settee - this is the cartridge for the Phatnoise 20GB sound system; the actual electronics are mounted on the side and are not visible. There is a second Kenwood CD/MP3 player identical to the one on the bridge just to port (facing the galley) to which this is interfaced; it drives the speakers visible in the salon and also those in the master stateroom.

The galley, looking aft from the forward stateroom. Note the princess three-burner stove and oven, sink, storage and microwave in the above cabinet. There is storage under the steps as well. The new refrigerator is partially visible to the right of the picture.

The head. Vacuflush MSD to the bottom left, stall shower extreme left, control panel for the head system and shower is just left and below the sink and of course the sink and vanity itself. Sink faucet replaced in 2001 with a high-quality MOEN ("they never leak") unit.

Master stateroom looking aft from the bulkhead. Note the CO detector and HVAC controls at extreme top right. Double berth with storage below, nightstand with storage and 120V electrical outlet. There is also an audio volume control just out of the frame on the forward closet bulkhead. The master also has a hanging closet which is partially obstructed by the deck crane mounting pole (which must run to the hull for structural reasons.)

V-berth forward. Lots of storage below, anchor locker forward with hatch. Note AC vents in the forward bulkhead; there is a sealed box forward containing the evaporator for the guest stateroom, partitioning it from the anchor rode storage. Forward in the anchor locker is found 600' of 3/4" primary rode and both the windless controls and winch mechanicals itself.

Engine room looking aft. Bilge sump is at the extreme bottom center, fire bottle above (FE241), electrical panels at top and to the right and the genset is visible to the left.

Starboard engine. Note engine room gauge panel, Racor CCV return airhose (below gauge pack), Fleetguard fuel filter, priming/polishing pump and Floscan fittings at the lower side of the picture. Airbox drain check valve is just above and to the left of the fuel restriction gauge for easy maintenance and cleaning (should be done on every oil change.)

Port engine. Again, note ER gauge pack, Racor CCV return hose (just behind gauge pack), Fleetguard fuel filtraction setup, restriction gauge, polishing/priming pump and flowscan return flow transducer. Airbox drain check valve is just behind fuel restriction gauge as with the other engine - again, easy access.
